Author Guidelines

Young Nurses Journal of Research (YNJR) welcomes original scholarly contributions in nursing, midwifery, allied health sciences, and related health disciplines.

Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts online through the journal's submission system. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment and, where appropriate, peer review. Manuscripts are evaluated based on originality, scientific and methodological quality, ethical conduct, relevance, clarity, and readability.

Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance or publication. The final decision is made by the editorial team based on the editorial assessment and peer-review process. Authors will be notified of editorial decisions through the email address provided during submission.

Article Structure

Authors should generally organize manuscripts according to the nature and type of the submission. For original research articles, the following structure is recommended:

  • Title
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgements, if applicable
  • Conflict of Interest Statement
  • Funding Statement, if applicable
  • Data Availability Statement, where applicable
  • References

Authors should follow the journal's specific requirements for the particular article type being submitted.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

YNJR follows a transparent publication-charge policy. An Article Processing Charge (APC) of INR 3,000/- per accepted article is applicable.

The APC is payable only after the manuscript has received a final editorial decision of acceptance for publication. The payment of an APC does not influence the editorial assessment, peer-review process, or publication decision.

The APC contributes to the costs associated with editorial processing, peer-review administration, copyediting, typesetting, online publication, digital archiving, and maintenance of the journal's publishing platform.

Authors are informed of the applicable APC before publication. YNJR does not impose undisclosed publication charges.

AI Usage Policy for Authors

YNJR permits authors to use artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI tools for limited and appropriate purposes, such as language editing, grammar correction, translation assistance, formatting, and improving readability.

AI tools must not be used to fabricate or manipulate research data, results, references, participant information, images, or other scientific evidence. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical standards of their submitted manuscript.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the content of a scholarly publication.

Where AI or generative AI has materially contributed to the preparation of a manuscript, authors should disclose its use in the manuscript in an appropriate section, such as the Methods or Acknowledgements section, in accordance with the journal's AI policy.

Authors are responsible for verifying all AI-assisted content and ensuring that it does not contain fabricated information, inappropriate citations, plagiarism, or other forms of academic or publication misconduct.

YNJR reserves the right to assess submissions for inappropriate or undisclosed use of AI and to take appropriate action where misuse or ethical violations are identified.

Originality and Exclusive Submission

Manuscripts submitted to YNJR must be original and must not have been previously published or be under consideration by another journal.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources, previously published materials, figures, tables, and other intellectual contributions are appropriately cited and acknowledged.

Ethical Approval

Research involving human participants must have appropriate ethical approval where required. Authors should provide details of the relevant Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) or Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval in the manuscript.

Informed consent should be obtained from participants or their legally authorized representatives whenever required.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that could influence or could reasonably be perceived to influence the research or its interpretation.

Funding

All sources of financial or material support for the research should be disclosed. If the study received no specific funding, authors should state this appropriately in the manuscript.

References

References should be accurate, relevant, and appropriately cited within the manuscript. Authors should follow the reference style specified by the journal.

Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the information presented in their manuscripts. Submission of a manuscript confirms that the authors have reviewed and approved the submitted version and agree to comply with the journal's publication ethics and editorial policies.
